Mental Chamber

Staring at the blankness of this window before typing this sentence made me feel relaxed for a second.. just for a second, before I started having thoughts again.

Do you ever get really tired of receiving information? I don't usually, but I have lately.

On the show Fringe, there's this chamber filled with water in which a person lays while having their brain connected to a machine that allows them to visualize their unconscious mental processes. Sometimes I think having a mental chamber would be a pretty nice escape, especially with the sensation of half floating in water. But then I realize that it would only make my nagging thoughts visible, not make them go away, so maybe just a dark enclosed chamber filled with water would be nice. That sounds like a womb. Reverting back to the simpler stages of life can be the most relaxing place to be in.

  1. That reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Homer was trying to do more Lisa-like things with her to be a good dad. They went into these hippie relaxation chambers, and Homer's got towed off somewhere that sent him rolling down a hill hitting rocks, and then eventually back to where he started. Ha. He had no clue.

  2. I'd just like access to a sensory deprivation chamber sometime. It would probably help with stress...
